A cousin of the Hawaiian Koa Gloss line, the Solid Spruce Top Koa Gloss line pairs an Engelmann Spruce top with Hawaiian Koa back and sides sealed in a gloss finish to bring out the grain of the wood. The Spruce top provides a complex, open sound with loud projection that pairs with the bright, midrange tone of the Hawaiian Koa back and sides.

This uke is comfortable, light and nicely balanced, with an easy action and no fret buzz. It was bought new by its one owner in 2019 and has been looked after very well.

The model number KA-SKT G-EC is code for Spruce Koa Tenor Gloss Electric Cutaway. So don’t get this one confused with other models that do not have a solid spruce top, and most importantly, solid Hawaiian Koa back and sides.

And it’s the Koa that makes the difference on this one because .… boy, this little guy is loud – an extremely bright and powerful sound. That volume does not come at the expense of a muddy sound however and the strings are crystal clear and evenly matched.

This uke is in excellent, pretty much as-new condition. There are no dings, dents, marks or evidence of wear anywhere.

It’s a high quality instrument with a great sounding Fishman pickup in virtually new condition, at a rather better than new price.
