The holy grail of guitar amps – a 1967 Blackface Deluxe Reverb in mint condition. This is about as good as it gets – there is nothing to fault about this absolutely beautiful Blackface classic. Revered by generations of great guitarists worldwide as the epitome of the classic Fender combo amp. The shimmering clean tones and chiming harmonics of the first half of the volume control meets the classic crunch and sweet saturation of the dial beyond 5.

This is up there with the best sounding Fender amp we have ever listed. Absolutely clean and in immaculate physical and electronic condition, this amp could live in the Smithsonian of Sound, but would be better utilised on a stage with your favourite guitar plugged into it.

Since its inception in the early 1960s the Fender Deluxe Reverb has remained the ideal recording and performing amp. Small, light and moderately powered, it produced big tube tone, with world-class Fender reverb and vibrato effects. For countless guitarists ever since, the Deluxe Reverb has been the go-to amp for that classic Fender sound.

The Deluxe Reverb 1×12″ has for decades been one of the most popular amps among all Fender amps, and its popularity is still growing as the demand for low wattage tube amps increases. The combination of size, weight and performance makes the Deluxe Reverb a true road warrior on gigs and practice. The Blackface Deluxe Reverb has become the standard by which every contender in the low wattage 1 x 12” category is judged.

This is simply one of the best Deluxes we’ve ever heard. This unit was purchased in pristine condition from Jacksons Rare Guitars in Sydney in 2004. It had already had its original US transformer professionally rewound to 240v. It has been serviced by Sydney amp guru Martin Kell and the guys at Earthling Designs in its known history. It currently has a matched pair of JJ 6V6 output tubes, and has been biased accordingly for original 22w output.

Non master volume model, no push-pull-boost etc. Just the classic original Blackface configuration. No circuit boards here – it’s all point-to-point wiring. Original Fender footswitch included. 

The original speaker was replaced in Australia with a quality Jensen P12N12” alnico speaker which sounds fantastic.

Even includes its original Fender branded black cover in great condition.
