The NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show is an annual trade show in Anaheim, California that brings together music industry professionals, including guitar manufacturers and custom shops. At the NAMM Show, Fender Custom Shop often showcases their latest creations and limited-edition guitars. These guitars are typically handcrafted by master builders and feature unique designs, premium woods, and high-end components.
This Fender Ltd NAMM '64 Stratocaster Relic is a fine example, displaying intricate detail, the highest quality construction materials and a stunning ‘Super Faded Candy Apple Red’ finish. The relic job on this guitar is classy and authentic – it looks the real deal!
In addition to its relic finish, the Fender Ltd NAMM '64 Stratocaster Relic features a number of other vintage-style appointments. It has a solid alder body, a maple neck with a "C" shape, and a rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets. The guitar also features a trio of custom wound pickups that are intended to replicate the sound of the original 1964 Stratocaster.
Other features of the Fender Ltd NAMM '64 Stratocaster Relic include vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut, and a vintage-style tremolo bridge.

This is a very tasty guitar, made to look and feel just right by the Fender Custom Shop. It is relatively light and surprisingly resonant even unplugged. The light relic treatment is subtle, with not too much “damage” inflicted and only light tarnishing of the metal parts which presents as very natural.
It is in excellent overall condition, with no modifications that we can see & everything works as it should. Some minimal fret wear, but plenty of fret life left, tuners are solid, quality trem bridge intonates well.
One-piece maple neck and board with a rear walnut skunk stripe, centre dot inlays, truss adjustment at the heel.
A true Fender classic with the right vintage feel, without the vintage price tag.
