Fender Telecaster Custom - USA 1978

Fender has a long history with the Telecaster, and in the 1970s, they decided to spice things up a bit by introducing the "Custom" version.

The body was made of alder, and Fender offered it in various finishes like sunburst and black - this particular model in a beautiful blonde finish. The combination of the double-bound body and the different finishes really gave it a touch of elegance.

The Telecaster Custom came equipped with two pickups - a single-coil bridge pickup and a humbucker in the neck position. This configuration gave players a wider range of tones to play around with, making it a versatile guitar for different styles of music.

In terms of controls, you had the standard setup with a three-way pickup selector switch, volume and tone knobs.

The bridge is a replaced, non-original six saddle bridge, which offers fine tuning of intonation on every string.

Overall it is a fine sounding '78 Telecaster Custom in great playing condition, with a good set of pickups that deliver that classic Tele punch & twang.
