Gibson Custom Shop LPR-7 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue – USA 2003
Pickup currently unavailable
The Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul '57 Goldtop (Model LPR-7) is an exceptional reissue that faithfully replicates the iconic 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. Designed to mirror the original in both sound and appearance, it truly lives up to its heritage.
During the 1950s, the Les Paul underwent significant evolution, and in 1957, it solidified its legendary status with the introduction of the Tune-O-Matic bridge and the addition of two humbucking pickups, creating the signature Les Paul tone still revered today. This '57 Goldtop reissue from the Gibson Custom Shop blends these crucial features, crafted with meticulous Historic specifications to ensure an authentic period-correct experience. Featuring a lightweight mahogany body, an eastern maple top, and a beautifully aged Goldtop finish with a VOS treatment, it brings together premium tonewoods and components to deliver a superb Les Paul.
This particular '57 Goldtop Reissue is in excellent condition and has remained completely original, with no modifications. The finish on the top, neck, and headstock is near perfect, with only light swirling on the pickguard, two tiny nicks and some expected tarnishing on the pickup covers. The guitar shows virtually no signs of player wear, with no dings, dents, or buckle rash. The frets are in great shape, and the pickups deliver the iconic PAF tone. Overall, this guitar is a fantastic example of a vintage-style Les Paul, offered at a considerable discount compared to a new model. It comes complete with its original Gibson Custom hard shell case and Certificate of Authenticity.
