A lightweight, rock ‘n’ roll machine, this 1965 Epiphone Wilshire delivers the snappy response and punchy mids that made these guitars a cult favourite among players. Featuring a beautifully checked sunburst finish, this Wilshire oozes vintage character while remaining a killer player.

Under the hood, all four potentiometers date to the first week of 1965 (1346501), confirming its early ‘65 build. The original mini-humbuckers deliver warm, articulate tones with tight low end and crisp top-end bite, making this a versatile beast for blues, rock, and garage tones. The medium C-profile neck is comfortable and fast, and while it has had a refret at some point, it plays beautifully with plenty of life left.

The factory Maestro Vibrola adds expressive character, and aside from a missing screw in the pickguard, this Wilshire is all there. A rare and highly playable Wilshire with original mini-humbuckers, a vibey sunburst finish, and legendary ‘60s Epiphone tone.
