PRS Custom 24 Brazilian Limited 427/500 - USA 2004

The Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar, the iconic instrument that started it all back in 1985. The Custom 24 keeps all of the same foundational specifications as the original Custom – maple top, mahogany back and neck, 24 frets, 25” scale length, the PRS patented Gen III tremolo, and dual PRS humbuckers. 

The Custom 24 allows for fast effortless playing all over the neck and exceptional tone options. The Custom 24 is the original PRS; since its introduction, it has offered a unique tonal option for serious players and defined PRS tone and playability.

In 2003/04, PRS did a limited release of 500 guitars with Brazilian fingerboards, this particular specimen being #427. Each model came with a numbered and signed backplate from Paul Reed Smith himself, which is included in the sale.

This particular 24 is in incredible condition for a 20-year-old instrument. It was purchased by the current owner in 2005 from Germany and has been played seldomly since. It shows no marks or blemishes and presents as near-new in every way. But unfortunately sometimes circumstances change and now this one must be moved on.

Finished in the gorgeous special colour of Vintage Yellow, this PRS is one of the most striking we have ever seen. It has a prized PRS 10-Top, showing wonderful figuring in the maple. The pièce de résistance though is the stunning Brazilian rosewood fingerboard that pairs beautifully with the faded yellow finish - what a stunner!

This is a fabulous PRS Custom 24 Brazilian Limited in near-new condition ready to go, and ready to rock.

Comes in its equally splendid hard shell case, in excellent condition with all paperwork & tags etc. and signed backplate by Paul himself and marked 427/500.
