'We started with a killer new power amp design and the best tones of our favorite guitar greats swirling in our heads. With that, we set out to humbly create the greatest amplifier ever made. With two distinctly different sounding preamps--one with extended mids and tons of gain and the other with scooped mids and a carefully tailored gain structure--Ivan perfect for smaller venues or in the studio (Warren Haynes just finished his new album using one of these). It is a versatile amp and can be described as a literal tone chameleon. And you won't believe the way this amp sings with harmonic overtones. 
 
From there, we added must-have features like global, tube-driven, spring reverb; a variable recording line out; and an on-board Variac circuit. Musicians now have an amplifier that is capable of being the best tool in their arsenal for delivering tone and has the essential features needed both on stage and in the studio.'

This 2012 Category 5 Amplification "Ivan" tube combo amp is in great condition. This amp comes with its original footswitch included.

'The Ivan combines two the best of two classic Fender Deluxes, the Brownface and the Blackface, into one versatile combo. Channel one is the Brown side, with a thick, mid-heavy overdrive sound that is perfect for rock and blues leads.

Channel two features the timeless Blackface sound, with an amazing clean sound that retains its clarity as you push the amp into overdrive. On top of that the amp utilises a built in variac. This control globally reduces the voltages within the amp, allowing you adjust the output power anywhere from 2 to 20 watts while still achieving feel of a cranked amp. Throw in a sweet tube-driven, long spring reverb and you have one versatile amp.'

This is a professional level amplifier that sounds as great in the bedroom as it does on the big stage. It has been serviced by industry recognised Terry Turk (Wizard of Amps - Sydney), and is fully functional and sounds great.
