Fender Esquire MIJ - Japan 1985
Pickup currently unavailable
A rare and fantastic player, this 1985 Fender Esquire was crafted in Japan during the golden era of MIJ Fender production, delivering vintage-inspired tone and feel with exceptional build quality.
Finished in classic Butterscotch Blonde, this Esquire embodies the stripped-down simplicity of the original 1950s single-pickup Telecaster design. The single bridge pickup delivers everything from twangy highs to gritty overdrive, with the Esquire’s unique tone circuit adding extra tonal flexibility. The comfortable '50s-style C-shaped maple neck plays effortlessly, though the finish is starting to wear off in small areas on the fingerboard, adding to its vintage vibe.
This 1985 model is in great playing condition, with only minor cosmetic wear consistent with age. A missing volume knob and switch tip could easily be replaced to restore it to full vintage glory. Non-original case included.
A beautifully made MIJ Fender, offering classic Esquire simplicity with legendary Tele tone.
