Fender American Vintage II/Vintera II Thinline Telecaster Partscaster - USA 2023
Pickup currently unavailable
This unique guitar combines elements from several iconic Fender models, creating a customised Telecaster with both vintage aesthetics and modern features. The neck is from a Fender American Vintage II 1977 Telecaster Custom, with a classic 7.25-inch radius and serial number on the headstock, while the body is a Fender Vintera II 60’s Telecaster Thinline in swamp ash, finished in black. It also includes the distinctive Fender “F”-stamped 4-bolt neck plate, adding to its vintage appeal.
The guitar features a Fender CuNiFe Wide Range Humbucker in the neck position and a Fender Vintera II Telecaster single-coil bridge pickup, capturing the classic 1972 Telecaster Custom configuration. The bridge is a vintage-style Fender Telecaster bridge with grooved steel saddles, and it includes 2 volume and 2 tone controls with black “witches hat” knobs, as seen on the 1972 Telecaster Deluxe, along with a “Pure Vintage” CRL 3-way switch. This Tele has high-quality “450 Series” 1 Meg pots for the WRHB and the “450 Series” 275k pots for the bridge pickup.
Designed with versatility in mind, this guitar’s custom 3-ply black/white/black pickguard was CNC-cut by David Fletcher of Fletcher Handcrafted Guitars. The pickguard is an homage to several Fender models: the upper bout echoes the 1969 Thinline, while the lower section is inspired by the 1972 Telecaster Deluxe. This design also allows room for additional modifications, like a Mastery bridge or Bigsby vibrato, making it perfect for players who want the sound of a 1972 Telecaster Custom in a Thinline body with the desirable CuNiFe humbucker and swamp ash construction. The guitar comes with a Fender gig bag for safe transport.
