Fender Strat Plus – USA 1991

The Strat Plus series was introduced by Fender in 1987 and was the highest end production model next to Fender's Custom Shop guitars. Production was stopped in July of 1998. 

This pre-owned USA made Strat Plus features an alder body finished in Black. It has a maple neck with a lovely rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot markers. The 2-point tremolo combined with locking tuners and roller nut provides great tuning stability and feel. The Lace Sensors are Gold models – the same as used on the first-generation Clapton Signature Strat. 

This guitar has just had its 33rd birthday but shows little sign of its age. Overall, it is in amazing condition with only one tiny dent on the bottom waist – difficult to see & impossible to photograph. There is some very light button wear on the trem cover, but nothing major.  

There is almost no tarnishing of the metal parts, and everything works as it should. The neck is super clean top & back and has a very comfortable medium C profile. The frets are good with minimal wear, and the truss rod works perfectly.  

The Lace Sensor pickups sound great, with the added bonus of being way less noisy than standard single coils. This USA Strat Plus has been well cared for and has held up beautifully since the early ‘90s. It is a fine gig machine with plenty of miles left on the clock. 

Comes with its original form fitting Fender poly case in excellent condition.
