Fender Tele-Sonic - USA 2001

The Fender Tele-Sonic, introduced in 1998, was a unique addition to Fender's lineup. It blended elements of their classic Telecaster models, creating a guitar with a distinct character.

The Tele-Sonic came equipped with two DeArmond single-coil pickups, delivering a bright and articulate tone. Its tonal versatility made it well-suited for a range of musical styles.

Its sound is characterised by a bright, clear quality akin to the classic Telecaster. This brightness imparts a crispness and clarity to each note, making it ideal for genres like country and rock. The Telesonic delivers a sharp attack and well-defined notes. This characteristic snap is a hallmark of single-coil-equipped guitars.

Despite its intriguing design and sonic capabilities, the Tele-Sonic had a relatively short production span, being discontinued in 2004. However, it left an impression on players who appreciated its unique blend of features.

In recent years, the Fender Tele-Sonic has gained a following among collectors and enthusiasts. Its scarcity and distinctive design have contributed to its appeal as a sought-after vintage instrument.

This Fender Tele-Sonic is in great shape for a 22-year-old instrument. The guitar shows some swirling on the pickguard and some buckle rash on the back of the guitar. There are a few small, circular impressions on the back in the finish, but nothing to worry about. The neck is clean and smooth, frets are in good shape and everything works as it should. A really cool and unique Fender that looks and sounds fantastic.
