The iconic Gibson Les Paul Custom has been popular with musicians since its introduction in 1954. This 1994 Gibson Les Paul Custom in the gorgeous Desert Burst is a limited edition model that was produced in small quantities.
This guitar features a mahogany body with a carved maple top, and a set mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard. It has a 24.75" scale length, 22 frets, and a 1.68" nut width. The hardware includes gold-plated Grover tuners, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a stopbar tailpiece.
The Desert Burst finish is a unique variation of the classic sunburst finish, with a darker burst pattern that blends from a gold/orange centre to a darker brown outer edge. The finish is complemented by gold hardware and multi-ply binding on the body, neck, and headstock.
The guitar is equipped with two Gibson humbucker pickups, a 490R in the neck position and a 498T in the bridge position, which provide a versatile range of tones from warm and mellow to bright and aggressive.

This guitar presents in excellent condition - the top and sides are remarkably clean with very few marks or bruises. The back shows a small amount of buckle rash, the medium C shape neck is smooth and clean and the frets display very little wear with plenty of life left. The gold hardware has early signs of tarnishing, adding to the wonderful aesthetic of this great guitar. There are a few small cracks within the speed knobs of this guitar - but they are hardly noticeable.
All of the electronics work as they should, and the Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers have a wide tonal palette. The Alnico II magnets in the neck pickup have a little more chime and warmth, while the Alnico V bridge pickup has a snarl that cuts through with classic Gibson sizzle and snap. This guitar delivers big sustain, with the singing tone we have come to expect from a top end Gibson Les Paul from the right era of manufacture.
This 1994 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Desert Burst is a highly sought-after guitar model among collectors and players, due to its limited production and unique finish.
