Marshall
Marshall Offset Limited Edition JTM45 Head (259/300) + 412 Cabinet (266/300) - UK 2002
Pickup currently unavailable
Check out this incredible recreation of one of the coolest and rarest amps ever made by Marshall. The JTM 45 ‘Offset’ was produced in 1962 and only a tiny number were ever produced. In 2000 Marshall decided to pay tribute to this incredibly rare and beautiful Marshal JTM 45 by making a limited run of 300, which were only available in the US. All units were sold out even before manufacturing was completed! This set is currently owned by a prominent Australian guitarist. The head of this set is number #259 of 300 and the cabinet is number #266.
The ‘offset’ cab was designed to give better balance on account of the weight of the internals. The tone of this amp is warm and tonally harkens to the Fender Tweed amps that Marshall development was heavily inspired by in the early years. It has beautiful big clean tones and warm/punchy driven tones. The Offset JTM45 Halfstack consists of the offset-chassis JTM45 head and the 4 x 12 offset speaker cabinet with a semi-open back design. Authentic handwired tagboard circuitry and KT66 power tubes are housed in an aluminum chassis true to the original which was built in 1962. Every effort has been made to preserve the sound and aesthetics of these amplifiers right down to the 12 Celestion Alnico speakers and the extremely rare rectangular metal red block lettered Marshall coffin logo (so-named because the original logos were built by a coffin maker!). The JTM45 also features the same black vinyl covering white/gray grille cloth and white front panel as the original. This amp is even more stunning in person. Call Premier Guitars and make an appointment to plug in and try out this rare and incredibly cool amp.
