Martin 000C-16SGCTNE - USA 2003
Pickup currently unavailable
Part of the wide-ranging 16 Series, the Martin 000C-16SGCTNE was introduced in mid-2002. The guitar was equipped with a cutaway on a 12-fret 000 body, and X-braced top modified for the lower tension of nylon strings.
The000C-16SGTNE has a Cedar top, mahogany back and sides, single ring abalone rosette, dark binding. Spanish cedar neck with slotted headstock, 1 7/8" at the nut, rosewood fretboard has 18" radius. Rosewood tie-block bridge of traditional Spanish design. Onboard Fishman electronics.
This Martin presents in near-new condition, the neck is on the slimmer side for a nylon string and lends itself well to those who like the feel of a steel-string neck. It has a contemporary feel and is very comfortable to play for hours - the perfect songwriter tool.
Some of the greatest guitarists of our time, the likes of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed favoured nylon string guitars as a means of honing their skills without the labour required playing steel strings. This guitar exemplifies this with its hybrid infusion of classical and modern appointments.
Comes in its original Martin HSC.
