PRS Modern Eagle 1 - USA 2007

Presenting one of PRS's masterpieces, the Modern Eagle 1. This guitar's striking beauty is immediately apparent. Showing off its rare, buffed 'Yellow Tiger' finish, this PRS is a feast for the senses.

The Modern Eagle seamlessly integrates numerous elements inspired by the esteemed 'Private Stock' instruments, coupled with specifications that PRS has meticulously developed over the years. Notable features include an elegant, ultra-thin nitrocellulose finish, Modern Eagle RP pickups, an anodised stop tail bridge, brass studs, a Brazilian rosewood neck and fingerboard, rippled abalone bird inlays, and distinctive, highly figured maple tops.

In terms of specifications, the body boasts a carved highly figured maple top with a mahogany back, while the neck features a 25" scale length Brazilian rosewood 22-fret design. The fretboard is adorned with rippled abalone bird inlays, and the Brazilian rosewood headstock overlay showcases the inlaid (Modern) Eagle. The neck carve is characterised as Wide Fat.

The hardware includes PRS 14:1 Phase II low mass locking tuners in a grommet style, and hybrid gold/nickel hardware. The electronics feature RP Treble and Bass pickups with satin covers, and controls include volume and push/pull tone control with a 3-way toggle pickup selector.

This Modern Eagle shows next to no signs of wear, the frets are in near-new condition, the neck and body are extremely clean with only one or two very small blemishes. The guitar plays beautifully as you would expect and the pickups have clarity and definition and are well balanced, plenty of grunt and tonnes of sustain - this thing is a beast, and you simply must try this thing out!
