Taylor 610CE - USA 2003
Pickup currently unavailable
Taylor guitars are often described as being “built from the neck up”. Bob Taylor has long expressed the opinion that there is no reason an acoustic guitar should be more difficult to play than an electric. And that is certainly the case with this guitar.
We've come to expect quality and innovation from Taylor, and this guitar reflects that expectation. The fit and finish is excellent, and top-shelf appointments and beautiful fingerboard inlays make this a real beauty, with sound to match.
The Taylor 610CE is a high-quality acoustic-electric guitar from Taylor's 600 series. Its dreadnought body shape offers a balanced sound with excellent projection and volume. The top of the guitar is made from Sitka Spruce with the back and sides being made from Maple, which provides a bright and clear tone with excellent sustain.
The guitar also features Taylor's Advanced Performance bracing with relief rout, which helps to optimise the guitar's sound and increase resonance. The Ebony fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface, and the Tusq nut and saddle help to ensure excellent tuning stability.
The Taylor Expression System 2 electronics system is also included, which provides a natural and dynamic amplified sound when plugged into an acoustic guitar amplifier or a PA system.

This Taylor 610CE presents in excellent condition. It has been well looked after and looks much younger than a 20-year-old guitar. There are no marks or dings to speak of, the hardware has some slight tarnishing which adds to its appeal. The frets have zero wear with a full life in front of them.
Jeff Mallia, renowned Sydney luthier, recently serviced and set up this guitar, so it is ready to go!
The real treat is when you pick up this guitar and hear it sing. It has a beautiful rich tone and is extremely warm and resonant. The neck is clean and smooth and encourages hours of playing. Plugged in, this Taylor comes to life and matches it with its contemporaries in every way. This is a great example by Taylor.
Comes with its original hard-shell case.
