Vintage Fender Bassman Head - USA 1966
Pickup currently unavailable
A true classic Fender amp with a twist, this 1966 Fender Bassman head delivers iconic Blackface-era tones with a unique modification. Originally designed as a 50-watt powerhouse for bass players, the Bassman quickly became a favourite among guitarists, thanks to its bold, punchy cleans and smooth overdrive when pushed.
This example has been refurbished, so it looks clean and well-kept, while under the hood, it retains its legendary Blackface circuitry with a notable tweak—the Bass channel has been converted to a Tweed circuit, offering grittier breakup, increased touch sensitivity, and a more dynamic response. Meanwhile, the Normal channel retains its original Blackface voicing, providing the best of both worlds for players who love vintage Fender tone.
A stunning-looking and versatile amp, blending mid-'60s Fender clarity with rich Tweed warmth.
