Fender Telecasters are widely regarded as one of the most useful and versatile musician's tools available. This '77-78 model is a prime example and it will put a smile on your face. This one has a natural finish that is darkening nicely.
Features a one-piece maple neck with standard 25.5" scale length, and chrome hardware that is in very good condition considering it is almost 45 years of age. Serial # S847xxx dates it to 1977-78.
This one appears to be completely stock and presents exactly as it came out of the factory back in the late 70's.
The neck is super clean especially on the back and the original frets have been nicely dressed with plenty of life left. Plugged in the guitar has that unmistakable Tele tone – the neck pickup has lots of character and the bridge unit delivers the expected spank and bite.
The headstock sports the original Fender "F" tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The original logo is intact and flawless, and the neck pocket is nice and snug. And this is a 4 bolt Fender neck. This is a solid, well constructed instrument.
Weight is a comfortable 9.41 lbs
Overall it is a fine sounding '77-78 Tele in good playing condition, with a good set of pickups that deliver that classic Tele punch & twang.
Comes in its original hard case in fair condition.
